As a photographer, Dave strives to capture the emotion of sailing competitionin his photography. In the sailing world, sometimes that means showing the beauty of the lines of yachts under way or navigating a race course and other times it requires the hands-on close-up shots that show the thrill, excitement and contemplation that are always present on a racing vessel. For Optimist sailors, the best shots are taken as close to the action as possible. This is accomplished by the skill and navigation of some of the best skippers and crew that volunteer their time and boat to drive Dave around the waters of each Optimist venue.
